The Hartwells of America Reunion is traditionally held in late June. We have been meeting annually since 1937, and have gathered in the Concord, Massachusetts, area for the past 40+ years.
Reunion 2026
Our 89th Annual Reunion is planned for Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Concord, Massachusetts.
Agenda
10:00am - refreshments, socializing, archive viewing, giveaways, genealogy assistance, items for sale
11:30am - lunch: pre-order for delivery or BYO

2:30pm - optional "field trip" to the Hartwell Tavern, Minute Man National Historic Park, Lincoln, Massachusetts
* Remote attendance is available via Zoom.
** Our featured speaker will be Don Hafner. He will present on the Hartwells of Lincoln, Massachusetts, featuring stories about the adult children of Ephraim4 (Samuel3-2, William1) and Elizabeth Hartwell of Lincoln, and the way their lives reflected the social and economic changes surging during the period just before and during the American Revolution.
Donald Hafner is a retired Professor of Political Science at Boston College, where he taught courses in international politics, American foreign policy, and national security and arms control policy. He has written widely about the history of the town of Lincoln, Massachusetts, in the 18th century. His books include William Smith, Captain: Life and Death of a Soldier of the American Revolution, a biography of the brother of Abigail Adams, and Tales of the Battle Road, April 19, 1775. His most recent book is Entangled Lives, Black and White —The Black Community, Enslaved and Free, in 18th Century Lincoln. Don is a member of the Lincoln Minute Men and serves on boards of the Lincoln Historical Society and The Friends of Minute Man National Park. He has served for many years as a volunteer and historical interpreter at Minute Man National Historical Park.
